Arona bin men to strike between 14-20 May

Arona refuse collectors have announced a week’s strike between 14 and 20 May after talks concerning collective agreements and proposed lay-offs failed. Workers say that they feel they have been abandoned to their fate by the licence-holder and the Ayuntamiento, and that they will keep negotiations going to try to resolve the problem up to the last moment but that they will go ahead with the strike if talks continue to fail.
