A 75–year-old British man is in hospital with multiple injuries after being involved in a car crash in the early hours of yesterday morning in Avda Melchor Luz, in Puerto de la Cruz. One of the two vehicles collided with a palm tree and bomberos, as well as paramedics and police, attended the scene around 2.30am. Once the car doors were freed, the poor man was able to receive attention, and once he was stabilized he was taken to Hospiten Bellevue, from where, later, he was transferred to University Hospital, HUC, where his condition remains serious.
