A little 5-year-old Russian boy was resuscitated around 4.30 this afternoon after nearly drowning in the swimming pool of a complex in Calle Valencia, Torviscas, Adeje. This is the road that runs down the side of Sunset Harbour to El Faro nightclub. He was stabilized at the scene and transferred by ambulance to Hospiten Sur where he remains in a serious condition, but alive.

The body of a man has been discovered inside a burnt-out car in the Los Ruices area of the Buenavista del Norte municipality. Emergency sources say that they received a call just before 11pm last evening about the burning car. More information, no doubt, will be available as the situation becomes clearer.
