  1. Hi Janet

As regard to other competitors, I have used ClearFX for a couple of years and found them to be very good in terms of cost and customer service and all quotes/transactions are carried out on-line, no phone calls needed at any stage – which is great !! Transfers can be a bit slow though at times (5 working days).

Have recently been trialing TransferWise for a couple of months or so now. They also conduct all transactions on-line without the need for any phone calls and the time it takes for money to arrive in my bank is faster than anyone else that I have used previously. Rates are excellent.

I used to use moneycorp some time back – but not now.

P.S. I declare no interests in any of the companies that I have mentioned.

  2. Hello

My query is can my UK bank use MoneyCorp to transfer weekly pension to me here in Tenerife (instead of Bank to Bank)

    Regards

    Elaine

  3. You’re best off asking Moneycorp direct … their contact details are in the last paragraph of the article. Or of course one of the other money companies mentioned in the readers’ comments above.

  4. For Elaine. Have a look at the website http://www.moneysavingexpert.com for their recommendations for money transfers. I have used Currencies Direct recently and I noticed you can set up regular transfer from you bank account. I guess the other companies do it too. I used my debit card with currencies direct and the transfer was done in a couple of days.

  5. My preferred transfer method is now Bitcoin: buy Bitcoin with one currency and sell for another. But then I’m like that 😀
