Binter has announed that it has established a company to operate flights between the Canaries and Cape Verde. Flights will start to operate from the last quarter of 2015. The new company is called Binter Cabo Verde, is registered in Cape Verde itself, and will employ some 60 or so Cabo Verdians. The announcement was made at a presentation by Binter which included Ulisses Correia e Silva, the mayor of Praia on Santiago, and all sides said that the new operation built on a relationship between Binter and Cape Verde which began in 2012 when direct flights started. At present, Binter flies to Sal and Santiago each Tuesday and Friday. Although the new routes have not yet been announced, the connection is sure to be greatly increased.

  1. That’s wonderful news Janet! Thank you! Iv’e just been researching flights to Cape Verde via Gran Canaria last week! Hopefully they’ll set up some flights from Tenerife.

  2. Hoping it might bring down prices. Last time there were, at least, some great inaugural offers.
