Tonight’s Callao Salvaje Christmas Carol concert transferred to church due to weather conditions

Updated 23 December:  Given the current weather conditions which are expected to continue into the evening, the Callao Salvaje Christmas carols concert has been transferred into the community Church. The service will still start at 7pm.

Original post 12 December: Pastor Ken Cumming has announced the annual Christmas Carol concert in Callao Salvaje will take place on Friday 23 December at 7pm. The concert is part of Adeje’s Christmas programme of events and over recent years has become a famous and very popular part of Christmas in south Tenerife. As always, the concert will take place in the mirador at the bottom of the main road down into town, and as now traditional, organizers again ask people to bring new toys and non-perishable food items for families in need in the municipality.

Pastor Ken has an additional and rather special announcement to make this Christmas, that of little Tallulah’s haircut. This small girl, just five years old, has decided to make a big gesture, and have her long blonde hair cut short to be donated to help make wigs for children who have lost their own hair as a result of cancer treatment. That was the initial plan, but in addition, through people sponsoring the haircut, money can be raised for local charity association El Arca de Noé (Noahs Ark) to help feed the homeless this Christmas.  You can sponsor Talllulah HERE … she is having her hair cut this coming Saturday, 17 December.
