Government stops extra six months payment for unemployed whose paro has expired

As I posted HERE, there has been an extra payment made to the unemployed once their unemployment benefit (paro) has expired. That payment has been €426 a month, and has run for six months beyond the end of an individual’s paro; the programme has previously been extended as Spain’s unemployment situation has worsened. It has now been announced, however, that once the current run finishes in February, the programme will stop. There will be no state financial assistance for the unemployed whose paro has run out. What people are supposed to do when they have no job, nor unemployment benefit, I cannot imagine. PV
