Update 4 January: Unbelievably, it’s only now that the fountain has actually been set to work. The mayor and councillor for Electrificación del Ayuntamiento de Arona, José Alberto González Reverón and Ramón García, have together inaugurated the water feature on the roundabout at the entrance to Los Cristianos. The budget for the works came to €595,650, and the final installation, with its 15 metre jets, will be lit at night.  PV

Original post 9 July: It’s only taken years, but at last, the fountain on the roundabout at the entrance to Los Cristianos is now working. The fountain will be illuminated at night, and will finally make for a fitting presentation to the approach to the town. DA
