The programme for this year’s Los Abrigos’ fiestas patronales de San Blas has been released and includes a Baile de Taifa (a kind of traditional square dance) on Saturday, 3 September, from 8pm in the main square. On Sunday 4th there is a Romeria Barquera (boathmans’ romeria) starting at 1pm in the Plaza Agua Dulce with a procession to the harbour, and music for the evening afterwards back in the main plaza.
The big day, with the procession of the religious statue from the church to the harbour and the fireworks afterwards is Saturday, 10 September, from 8.30pm. Throughout Sunday 11th, too, from midday to late, there will be events, including a procession, communal paella, floral offerings in the sea, and a dance. The full programme is below.
