New Year’s Eve celebrations in Tenerife, including Adeje’s live on TV from La Caleta

There will be parties throughout Tenerife to celebrate the New Year, one of the foremost being the TVE Canarias live television party in the Plaza de San Sebastián in La Caleta, Adeje. This won’t just be broadcast regionally, but transmitted globally through TVE’s international channel.

Everything kicks off at around 10.30, with music from Wamampy and La Fortaleza. Adeje Ayuntamiento are even supplying the lucky grapes, and buses will be laid on from the cultural centres at Tijoco, Los Menores, Las Rosas, Armeñime, Las Torres, Fañabé and Miraverde from 10pm. Buses will also run from 10pm from the Tabaiba asociación de vecinos, the Los Olivos taxi rank, Colegio de Olivos y Centro de Salud. Full timetables for the different routes are available HERE.

Apart from the televised party in Adeje, there will be New Year’s Eve parties throughout the island:

Los Cristianos, 10pm, with party bags, fireworks, surprises, Orquestas Deliciosa y Sensación Gomera. All in the Plaza del Pescador in front of the Cultural Centre.

Santa Cruz, 11pm, with DJ Richard and The Boys Machine in la Plaza de la Iglesia de La Concepción y Calle La Noria. This is a square between the Audorium and Plaza de España, just off the first stop (called Fundación) on the Tram.

La Laguna, 11.30pm, with Malibú Band in la Plaza Mayor de la Verdellada. There are also celebrations at 8pm, at the Centro Ciudadano Finca España, and at 10pm, at the Centro Ciudadano Bajamar.

Puerto de la Cruz, midnight chimes with cava at Plaza Iglesia Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia.

Candelaria, 11pm, with Orquesta Revelación, in Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias

El Médano, 11.30pm, in the Plaza.

Güimar, 11pm, with party bags, grapes, firworks, Orquesta Axcapulco. All in the Plaza de San Pedro de Güimar.

Los Silos, 12.30am, with Orquesta Sabrosa and DJ’s, in the Nave Industrial (Caretera El Puertito).
