Puerto de la Cruz is playing host to the International Agatha Christie Festival

Puerto de la Cruz is hosting the Agatha Christie Festival between 5 and 14 June. The crime writer stayed in Puerto’s Hotel Taoro in the 1920s, and wrote The Man from the Sea there, set in the town’s La Paz area. Her own only grandson will be present at the Festival over the next ten days, and the planned events will include films and plays, as well as visits to the town’s permanent exposition of objects and items of interest concerning the author.
