Updated 24 May: The third Salon Gastronómico de Canarias starts today, and the programme of events being held over the three days in the various areas in the Recinto Ferial is HERE. This is in addition of course to all the foodie stands that will fill the hall. Everyone who has gone to one of these has said they are fantastic experiences, and I’m sure the same will be true this year.

Original post 28 March: It has been a great success in its first two years, and the third Salon Gastronómico de Canarias will be held between 24 and 26 May in the Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz, on the road leading from the TF1 to the auditorium – it’s on the left at the first main junction. Even though the fair is designed for professionals in the food industry, it is also open to the general public, and there’ll be 150 stands, with cookery demonstrations, equipment displays, interactive sessions, cocktail making workshops, ham cutting classes, wine tasting … you name it. Some 10,000 are expected to attend, and there is a dedicated website HERE for further information. Admission costs €5.
