Young diver’s body found in north Tenerife

A young scuba diver from Buenavista has tragically lost his life while enjoying his favourite sport in Los Silos, in north Tenerife. He had set out yesterday morning and when he failed to return home last evening, emergency services were scrambled, including helicopters, Salvamento Marítimo, Policía Local, Guardia Civil and Bomberos. The search had to be called off after dark, and after it resumed at first light this morning, they eventually sadly discovered his body, which was taken to Garachico harbour from where it was transferred to the Instituto Anatómico Forense for an autopsy to be performed.
