Arona Ayuntamiento has announced that its annual Dia de Tradiciones will be held in Arona town on Saturday 6 October. As usual, there will be a range of walking routes, exhibitions tracing the cultural traditions in the county, an arts and craft market, all accompanied by typical Canarian food, drink and live music with many in traditional costume. The day is staged during the fiesta of Santísimo Cristo de la Salud y Ntra. Señora Virgen del Rosario, and will see the historic centre of the old town lit by 10,000 candles. All are welcome and indeed encouraged to attend, with disabled access guaranteed (it’s Arona so that’s a given!) and free buses laid on from various parts of the county. The full programme with much more information as well is HERE, and there are further details on the poster above and below too.
