Arona Policía Local arrest two and seize three cars in case of paperwork fraud and identity theft

Arona Ayuntamiento says that the municipal Policía Local have seized three vehicles and arrested two individuals in just the last three weeks with falsified documentation. Police have been trained in identifying fake non-Spanish documents, and say that the cars, as well as vehicular and personal paperwork, purported to be from various European countries, like Croatia, Bulgaria and Lithuania: one of the cars was reported stolen in Germany last year, and another bore numberplates identifying a car that was found burnt out in Pueblo Canario last September. All the cases are now being processed by the Arona Courts for a range of crimes including document falsification, identity theft, and driving without a licence. The vehicles are in the municipal pound awaiting judicial sentence.
