Avenida de Playa de Las Americas will be home to Arona’s Silver Age Fair tomorrow and Saturday, 15 and 16 March. The fair will be in the CC Oasis part of the Golden Mile and will take place between 11am and 9pm both days, with more than 40 exhibitors of health, beauty, welfare, home, leisure, free time and food.
The council’s Economic Promotion department says that this is the only kind of event in the south of Tenerife that follows through on the commitment to the active and healthy ageing of a growing part of the local and visiting population. This is the second time it has been held, and councillor Dácil León Reverón said that it provides an “excellent opportunity for a specific sector of the population … to get to know the great offer that exists in the municipality “.
Visitors to the fair will be able to speak directly with providers of services and products for the over 50s, with the fair featuring exhibiting areas and stalls for health and wellness, leisure and free time, fashion and accessories, as well as finance and industry, home, accessibility and safety, and technologies for health and independent active life for those who are over 55.
There will also be a whole range of activities and workshops including pilates and yoga classes, blood pressure reading, hearing systems information point, blood glucose, cholesterol, memory exercises, nutrition and healthy food, crafts and beauty workshops, and talks related to dental care. This second edition of the fair will also have a stage on which different folklore, flamenco, comparsas, and zumba classes will be performed before, on both days, the fair closes with tribute music to the great talents of years gone by.
