Arona’s Got Talent – contest open to all Canarian residents between 14 and 35 years of age with winner eligible for national talent show

Spain’s Got Talent was in Tenerife only a couple of weeks ago looking for potential contestants and now Arona Ayuntamiento is holding its own talent contest for young musical performers and dancers. The council’s youth department says that the contest – Jóvenes Promesas – is open to any Canarian resident between the ages of 14 and 35, and that applicants have up to 20 September to register. Successful applicants will take part in the gala at 9pm on 10 November in the Auditorio Infanta Leonor de Los Cristianos. There will be two awards in each of the categories (winner will take home €495 and second place €200) as well as a single additional winner of winners who will win €1,000 and go on to participate in a casting for a national TV contest. The rules and criteria for applicants, and inscription forms, can be viewed HERE.
