Beach cleared after explosive device found

Update 8.30pm: Despite the excitement, it transpired that the call was a false alarm, and that the “suspicious device” found by a diver was actually some rocks.

Original post:  The Policía Local  has cleared the area between Playa de Troya and Playa del Bobo in the Costa Adeje after an explosive device was found there. The Guardia Civil’s bomb disposal squad TEDAX (Servicio de Desactivación de Explosivos y Defensa) has been called in to deal with the device.
