A 17-year-old British cyclist was airlifted to hospital after suffering a fall on the TF21 in the Teide caldera this lunchtime. Emergency services say they were called out at 1pm with reports that the bike had left the road and fallen down an embankment, and national park personnel as well as Guardia Civil and paramedics attended the incident. They assisted him at the scene and then he was transferred by helicopter to Candelaria hospital where he is said to be suffering from serious multiple injuries.
