CanaryRun’s two major races in Tenerife next month

CanaryRun organizes many events and two of them are next month. The first is the Trail Fuente Alta Vilaflor on Saturday and Sunday 30 and 31 March. Organizers say that the Trail Fuente Alta Vilaflor focuses on the beauty of the orography and the charm of the town, and thanks to great management it’s been received really well by runners, becoming a national benchmark in 2017 as a Spanish Championship. Some 1,000 participants and at least 6,000 visitors are expected for the event which is inorporated into a weekend-long festival with a range of cultural and social activities including a gastronomy fair and live music. The race itself has four distances of 12, 21, 30 and 42km, and there is further information including about registration on www.canaryrun.com.

The second race is the Spring Run on 24 March, an asphalt test of 5 and 10km within a circuit approved by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation which will host the Tenerife 2019 route championship. Organizers say that never before have they managed to gather so many favorable conditions for the celebration of an event, joining forces so that each small detail contributes an exceptional value and thus captivate participants, public, public entities and collaborators. The place, the Golden Mile of Playa de las Americas. This emblematic location, attractive and with perfect technical characteristics (flat circuit), is considered as the perfect scenario for runners to enjoy a colorful tour, full of entertainment and an international audience. This is the first time this race has been run and organizers say that they hope it will become another benchmark of European-level athletics to which Tenerife is home.
