The annual Costa Adeje swim will be on Sunday 20 May and registration is now open. The travesía a nado (swim across) is organised by Adeje Ayuntamiento’s sports department and Anima2, and will be over two distances of 2,500m and 7,500 m along Adeje’s coast starting at 10am. The council says that it’s “seen both as something to challenge those who already enjoy open-sea swimming as well as encouraging others to take up this very healthy activity”. There is more information about the event and registration on the official website HERE and the Facebook page HERE.

  1. Perhaps someone has at last realised that the newly completed 2 million euro El Beril beach starting point for the swim has NO toilet facilities?

doubt it, I think it’s been held jointly previously. The information about the triathlon is already on this site HERE (and in the What’s On Diary HERE).

  3. Watch out for an enthusiastic group of swimmers from the Phoenix Masters club in Dublin, and the Cork Triathlon club, with 11 swimmers to date registered to fly over for the swim….
