Costa Adeje bus station fright over “suspect package” was false alarm

There was a fright around 11am this morning in the Costa Adeje bus station between the Magma Centre and San Eugenio when a suspect package was seen being left in a corner by a person in a motorbike helmet who then left at speed. The National police evacuated and cordoned off the premises and called in TEDAX (Técnico Especialista en Desactivación de Artefactos Explosivos), but the “package” was found to be two sports bags which did not contain any explosives, nor device to cause damage. What the bags did contain has not been released. The station is now returning to normal.
