Air traffic controllers guarantee normal service for Easter holidaymakers in the Canaries

The spokesman for the Canarian air traffic controllers’ union, Miguel Torrens, has guaranteed Easter flights will be problem free, and stressed that visitors can book their holidays with complete peace of mind. Sr Torrens was at pains to point out that despite the ATCs conviction that a problem was being manufactured by AENA, which was trying to provoke the controllers, this would not affect their resolve to work fully over such a crucial holiday period so as not to jeopardise Canarian tourism. Whatever the rights and wrongs of the dispute, travellers to and from Tenerife will quite reasonably only be concerned that they are not unduly delayed over their Easter vacations, and this now seems to be assured.
