Spanish Defence Chiefs of Staff have announced exercises to be held in the Canaries later this month. Specifically, operation Eagle Eye under the jurisdiction of the Aerospace Operational Command will take place between 19 and 23 April, a joint exercise comprising over 2,000 members of the army, navy, and air force to improve their operational coordination. We can expect to see quite a few planes, boats and trucks about during that period, including six Eurofighter Typhoons and an Álvaro de Bazán/F100 class Aegis combat system-equipped air defence frigate.
