FIMA 2015, the sixth Festival Internacional de Música de Arona, starts tomorrow, offering a series of concerts, dance, workshops and classes which will be performed in various locations throughout Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas over the next three weeks. The festival has is a dedicated website HERE, with the full programme HERE,and there’s a quick reference image at the bottom of this post too. Some of the performances are free, and even those that have a fee are just €3 or €5, making FIMA genuinely accessible to all.
The concerts will include Christel Rayneau (flute) from the Conservatoire National de Région de Versailles, Scott Hartman (trombone) From Yale University , Fábio Brum (trumpet) from the Orquestra Sinfônica Brasil, and Marco Tamayo (guitar) from the Mozarteum University of Arts in Salzburg and the Landeskonservatorium in Klagenfurt, Austria. Also performing will be Hungarian Krisztina Fejes, whose Boxing Day piano concert in Los Cristianos’ Infanta Leonor auditorium was such a success.
