First Open Waters Canarian Cup will see 250 swimmers race in Playa San Juan tomorrow

Anyone in Playa San Juan tomorrow, Saturday, 28 April, will see 250 swimmers take part in the very first Copa Canarias de Aguas Abiertas (Open Waters Canarian Cup). The event, Travesía a nado Alcaraván, is organized by Club Isora Swim in collaboration with Guía de Isora Ayuntamiento and the Canarian Swimming Federation, and will start at 12 noon at Playa San Juan. Part of the swimmers’ registration fees will be going towards the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer, and the winning swimmers will be given their prizes around 3pm. Some of those taking part are very well-known swimmers from Tenerife and further afield, like paralympian triathlon champion Toni Franco and paralympan swimmer Michelle Alonso.
