Guía de Isora Craft Fair 8 September

Update 4 September: Just a reminder that this fair is this coming Sunday in the church square in Guía de Isora.

Original post 16 July: Guía de Isora will be holding a Crafts Fair in the Plaza Nuestra Señora de la Luz in front of the church on Sunday 8 September between 10am and 6pm. There will be loads of local arts and crafts, and foods, on display and for purchase. These are always great fun, and Guía de Isora is a lovely old town, so this is definitely one not to be missed.

  1. Good God woman…Are you mad…? You know we can’t retain information that long on the ‘rock’… Remind us nearer the time. Lol.

    I will! 😀 It’s I who’d forget if I didn’t post it now! It’s in the “What’s on Diary” too 🙂

  3. So looking forward to this. Easier to park than the almond festival at Aripe. It took so long to get there and park with a very irritated hubby on the tiny road that we missed the festival. I love the atmosphere at these festivals and things to buy. Thank you for the information.

I went to this today and it was quite extensive, with stalls all along the barranco below the church square, and around the square itself, and a big stage in the square itself for Canarian music.. There was a dog show, and a classic cars display.
All very good apart from the prices of the goods on the stalls. I would have bought two or three things but felt that prices were a third to a half more expensive than they should be. One stall of leather goods didn’t have prices on display, and when I asked how much a purse was, was very clearly “sized up” and given a price of more than double what I had in mind.
Needless to say, I bought nothing, and the stallholders concerned didn’t seem to be doing too much business, perhaps as a result of others thinking the same as me. What is the sense of that??
