Original post 4.30pm: Emergency services are searching for a walker who has disappeared in the Teide National Park. A fellow walker raised the alarm at around 1am last night after waiting a few hours for the man to meet as arranged at the teleférico. The two had decided to take different paths to the meeting point, and to the concern at his failure to arrive was added the worry that he was not adequately dressed for the mountain. Despite searching throughout the night, however, the bomberos handed over to a relief team this morning with the man still not found. As of 4pm this afternoon, Guardia Civil helicopters and Red Cross have joined in the search.  LO
