Knife attack on wheelchair-bound Belgian in Costa del Silencio

Police say that a Belgian tourist in a wheelchair was the victim of a violent mugging yesterday in a commercial centre in Costa del Silencio. In a shameless incident, the disabled man was robbed at knifepoint of the bag containing all his papers and belongings. A local worker chased the thief, and managed to wrest the bag from him, and when the victim tried to give his rescuer a reward, he refused to accept it; apparently local tourists and residents who had been struck still with shock during the incident broke into applause when the bag was returned. The message is clear, however: if this can happen to someone disabled, in a wheelchair, then the thieves have no shame.
