The cut is expected to last between 8.30 and 10.30am.

Updated 13 January: The Tenerife Cabildo has announced that part of the TF5 will be closed on Monday night for two 41m prefabricated beams which will span the walkway at Los Naranjeros (Tacoronte). The proposed works are dependent on weather conditions, but assuming they go ahead as planned, will see two large cranes operating in the carriageways in both directions. The works are planned to take place between 9.30pm and 6am on Tuesday morning, and in the meantime, traffic will be diverted via the TF-152.

Updated 18 December: The Tenerife Cabildo has ordered the closure of the TF-1, direction from Santa Cruz, between Fañabe and the CC Gran Sur. The closure, to carry out roadworks, will be overnight tonight, from 10pm until 6am tomorrow, Tuesday 19 December. Diversions will be in place via Calles Budapest, Peralillo and Dublín (see map below). Drivers are advised to drive with caution.
13 December: Canaragua has announced a cut to drinking water supplies for routine maintenance work in Guargacho overnight tonight, 13-14 December, between 1 and 8am. The areas affected are Camino Los Gorones, Guargacho, Camino Guargacho Bajo, Polígono Industrial de Costa del Silencio – Guargacho, and the Virgen del Carmen social housing. And Santiago del Teide Ayuntamiento has announced that there will be cuts to the water supply in the whole of Los Gigantes on Friday, 15 December, between 9am and 2pm. The cut is due to improvement works being carried out by Entemanser.

The areas affected are Guaza, Ctra. Gral. TF-66 (Guaza-Las Galletas), Crta. Gral. TF-653 (Cañada), Calle Arsenio Rguez, Finca La Estrella, Estrella del Sur amd El Fraile.
Updated 25 April: The council has announced electricity cuts for maintenance tomorrow, 26 April, in the Puerto Santiago and Los Gigantes areas between 8.30am and 1.30pm. The areas affected are C/ Adelfas, Pz Bouganvilla, C/ Flor de Pascua, C/ Gigantes, C/. Hibisco, Avda José González Forte, PB Marinero, Avda Marítima, C/ Pino, C/ Tamara, Cj Tarajal, Pj Tulipan.
Updated 10 April: Adeje Ayuntamiento has announced that Cabildo roads department works will require the closure of the main Adeje town slip road off the TF1, junction 79A (heading from Los Cristianos towards Adeje). The council says that the junction will be closed between 9am and 7pm on Monday to Wednesday next week, 10-12 April. The Cabildo has advised drivers to use Junction 78 from Fañabe to access the town, as in this photo (click to enlarge).
In addition, Adeje town will be in full Easter mode on Thursday and Friday for the passion play (see HERE), which will mean significant disruption to the town’s traffic. Anyone going to the Pasión would be well advised to get a taxi or go by bus.

The water should be off until around 7am Friday morning. As always, there will be water tanks for the public’s use while supplies are disconnected.

Updated 12 April: The Canarian Government roads department has announced that final surfacing works are being carried out over the next three weeks on the TF1 beween the Erques junction and Santiago del Teide. The works have started this morning and will be carried out in phases as follows. Works should be completed by 2 May.
1. Between the Guía de Isora and Chio junctions, with traffic diverted onto the TF82, the original road between Adeje and Santiago del Teide over 11, 12 and 13 April.
2. Between the Guía de Isora and Tejina-Piedra Hincada junctions, with traffic diverted onto the TF82 over 14, 15 and 16 April.
3. Between the Tejina and Erques junctions, with traffic diverted onto the TF82 on 18 April.
4. In addition to the final surfacing of the TF1, the works will also include the Fonsalia spur access and subsurfacing theBicho tunnel between 18 and 22 April.
5. Between the Chio and Santiago del Teide junctions, 29 April to 2 May, during which the Bicho tunnel will be closed. Again the TF82 will serve for diverted traffic.
The Canarian Government’s Consejería de Obras Públicas y Transportes apologises to residents of the areas affected and to drivers for any inconvenience caused by the works. The authorities ask the public to cooperate and take notice of temporary road signs during this period.
Updated 19 February: More water supply cuts have been announced for Playa de Las Américas from 8am until around 3pm on Monday, 22nd. Again, Canaragua apologises for the inconvenience, which is to carry out works on the general supply network to improve the overall service. The company says that water reservoirs will again be available for those without tap water while works are ongoing.
Updated 17 February: In addition to today’s cuts (as below) to the water supplies in Arona, the council has announced more tomorrow, Thursday 18th, in Playa de las Américas. The whole area is set to be affected between 8am and 3pm, and Canaragua apologise for the inconvenience, saying that they are working to improve the network, and that water reservoirs will be available for those without tap water while works are ongoing.
Updated 16 February 2016: Arona Ayuntamiento has announced that Canaragua will be cutting domestic supplies tomorrow, Wednesday 17 February, between 8 am and 2pm for works to the network. The following areas will be affected: Buzanada, Los Migueles, Llanos de Guaza, Ctra. Gral. TF66 Buzanada-Guaza, Cho, Los Parlamentos, Los Fondos Quemada, Ctra. Gral. TF655 Guaza-Las Chafiras, Cañada Blanca, Cañada Verde, Malpaso, Los Bebederos, and Benítez. The company has supplied the following map of the general area which will be affected, and says that it will try to minimise the disruption and complete the works as soon as possible. Drinking water tanks will be available in the affected area. For any further information, call the customer number 900 100 157.
