Loro Parque introduces Murphi and Khali, the top tourist attraction’s two new otters

To add to its new king penguins and the largest free flight aviary, Loro Parque has now announced the inauguration yesterday of a new otter installation, with two ash otters, Murphi and Khali being introduced to the public. The otters are 3 and 4 years old, and come from the Landau zoo in Germany.

Both otters are getting used to their new environment, and are already rewarding visitors with their curiousity and play routines. Their environment has been specifically created to give these social mammals plenty to do and interact with.

The otter installation was opened by the President of the Tenerife Cabildo, Ricardo Melchior, together with the mayor of Puerto de la Cruz, Marcos Brito, and the President of Loro Parque, Wolfgang Kiessling. El Dia
