Man dies after car plunges into Santa Cruz harbour

A 67-year-old man died at 10.15 this morning after his car plunged into the Dársena Pesquera in Santa Cruz. Police divers were on scene immediately to try to establish if anyone was in the car, and sadly, the poor man was. He is said to have died of a heart attack. The “major incident” to recover his body and the vehicle involved bomberos, police divers, paramedics, the ports authority, Santa Cruz, Policía Local, lifeboats, Guardia Civil and National Police.
