Updated 8pm: It’s been a tragic day on Tenerife’s roads. Apart from the man in critical condition in hospital after being knocked over in Chayofa, a 67-year-old woman has died after being knocked down in C/ Puldón Natero, Los Realejos. Emergency services say that they were called out just after 6pm with reports of the incident, and that ambulance crew found the woman in cardiac arrest after the accident. Sadly, despite their efforts to resuscitate her, they were unable to bring her back to life and she was declared dead at the scene.
Within half an hour, two women of 45 and 65 years of age were killed in a head-on collision on the TF- 643 La Mareta, just before La Tejita, Granadilla. Bomberos say that a 4-year-old child in the same vehicle and the 68-year-old driver of the other vehicle, a van, had to be cut out of the vehicles, but both are said to be comfortable in hospital
