Man in comfortable condition after throat cut in Playa de las Américas attack

A 23-year-old man has received knife wounds to the throat in Avenida Rafael Puig Lluvina in Playa de las Américas, the road that runs past the Veronicas to the Troya beaches and beyond. Emergency services say that they were called out just before 4am this morning with reports that the man’s throat had been cut when he was attacked in the street and that medical assistance was needed. Ambulance crew provided initial treatment at the scene and then transferred the victim to a local hospital where his condition is said to be comfortable. Although there are no further details at present, it appears that the victim was a foreigner in Spain.
