Canarian airline Binter has introduced a new connection between these islands and the Balearics with three-hour flights between the archipelagos from next month. Canarian Government transport minister Pablo Rodríguez said that the new connection, with the recently increased discount of 75% for residents in the Canaries would represent a “revolution in mobility”. He added that there aren’t too many visitors in the Canaries from the Balearics and that this would be good news for tourism. It will certainly be good news for residents here too who’ve often thought about going to visit Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza or Formentera. The presentation was made in the Balearics and also present was Tenerife tourism minister Alberto Bernabé.
