One of north Tenerife’s most popular beaches, El Socorro, sealed off because of rockfalls

Playa del Socorro has been closed indefinitely because of rockfalls. The beach, in the Los Realejos municipality, has been causing concern for some time (as posted HERE), and the Department of Costas and Los Realejo Ayuntamiento have opted for zero risk and have now sealed off all access. A considerable amount of blue and white marking tape is now clearly in evidence across the access pathway, but with the beach being one of the most popular on the entire north Tenerife coastline, around a dozen individuals could be seen using the beach yesterday.
