Óptica Downes, the oldest opticians in Adeje, reopened yesterday after a week’s closure to upgrade and renovate the shop in Calle Grande, on the left on the way up to the Town Hall, almost opposite the Oasis chicken restaurant. After 22 years being the town’s main opticians, the store now offers completely modern and professional facilities in a calming and pleasing environment.
The reopening took place yesterday evening, and it was attended by and officially welcomed by Adeje Health Councillor Amada Trujillo Bencomo. Óptica Downes owner, pharmacist and ophthalmic optician Adal Trujillo, said that he aimed to provide his clients with personal attention, tailored treatment, and an exceptional and wide-ranging service involving the most advanced technology. I can personally vouch for the fact that he does just that!
One advantage for many expats in the area is that Adal is bilingual, so the service he offers is available in fluent English, and whether it’s for eye tests, new glasses, sunglasses, sports glasses, diving glasses, contact lenses, this small local business deserves all our support.
