Police arrest two for murder of North Welsh holidaymaker in the Veronicas

Police say that they have arrested two men, both said to be foreigners in Spain, for the murder last Tuesday of a 23-year-old holidaymaker from Rhyl in north Wales. The assault happened in the Veronicas area in the early hours when the man appears to have been picked on and attacked, being knocked to the floor where he was savagely beaten and kicked. Police say that the man was attended at the scene by ambulance crew and transferred to Candelaria hospital in a critical condition but sadly his injuries were so severe that he died after admission. The British Consulate has been assisting the family and the other friends who were on holiday with the young man.
