Updated 8 June: Police say that they have arrested a young Brazilian man on suspicion of murdering his father. Police have been searching the Santa Cruz family home since late last evening and their investigation continues.
Original post 7 June: A grim discovery of human remains in a suitcase seems to have been made by divers in the Muelle de Vallesco in Santa Cruz. Police are at the scene presently, and the remains, said to have been cut up and packed without the head or hands, have been taken to the Instituto de Medicina Legal. No doubt there will be more to come on this in the hours ahead.
