Prices in Canarian shops continue to fall

Confirmation of what many have been saying for some months now comes today with a further fall, albeit only 0.2%, of prices in September in Canarian stores. This makes an accumulative fall this year of 1.2%, second highest throughout Spain’s autonomous regions, and a drop of 2.2% in the past twelve months, which represents overall the highest fall throughout all the Spanish autonomous regions. Businesses are suffering as a result, and the Government is now beginning to take seriously the threat of deflation, but for the moment, it’s good news for shoppers.  Canarias24Horas
