Emergency paediatric first aid course in The San Blas Centre by internationally-renowned Tineke Training

Updated 8 November: Organizers say there are still a few places left on this course for anyone who was thinking of taking part. Details to sign up are on the poster below.

Original post 21 September: A Level 3 Award Emergency Paediatric First Aid course will be held on Saturday 8 December at The San Blas Centre in Golf Del Sur. The company that is offering it is Tineke Training, an established, British-based Company specialising in the delivery of Ofqual-regulated (The Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), Health & Safety Executive compliant, internationally-recognised and accepted First Aid and Health & Safety Training qualifications.

All instructors and trainers are certified First Aid Instructors and Assessors, hold the IOSH qualification and have either a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education or City & Guilds Further Education Teaching certificate. The company says that over the years, thousands of individuals have been taught how to help save lives, deal with major and minor first aid situations, and handle/prevent health and safety in the workplace situations, ensuring participants walk away with the knowledge and confidence to administer swift, effective first aid or handle any safety issue they might be faced with both inside and out of work/ within the community.

The sessions are highly interactive thus encouraging communication and team-working, with a mix of practical, theoretical and audio-visual methods to maximise learning and enhance the learners’ skills in an informative yet enjoyable way.  There is more information on their website HERE about the company and the training it provides throughout the world, and indeed provided in April in April.  Organizers said on that occasion that they were (pleasantly) overwhelmed by the continued level of interest and enthusiasm for learning first aid, and thanked everyone who took part because “no matter where you are e.g. at home, work or within the community; you can help someone in need of first aid.”
