The XV Feria de la Ciencia, under the auspices of the Tenerife Cabildo’s 2030 project, will be held tomorrow, 11 November, in La Orotava’s Plaza de la Constitución. There will be workshops, displays, experiments, games, solar observation, a mobile planetarium, and much more. The fair will be open to the public between 10.30am and 6.30pm. The Cabildo says that the fair has become a benchmark for scientific dissemination, and enjoys the backing of a range of scientific and technological organizations, including the Canarian Astrophysics Institute, La Laguna University and Aemet, all with the aim of popularising science and letting the public see the types of work and investigations that scientists are doing in Tenerife, not least in the areas of robotics, with two Intech stands offering displays and workshops of this very futuristic discipline.
