Updated 29 June 2017: And they’ve done it again! Siam Park has again been proclaimed the best water park in the world, winning the 2017 Travellers’ Choice Award from Trip Advisor for the fourth consecutive year! This is one major boon for south Tenerife’s tourism!
Original post 30 June 2016: Siam Park has again been proclaimed the best water park in the world, winning the 2016 Travellers’ Choice Award from Trip Advisor. The event was held at this stunning tourist attraction and was preseented to the President of Loro Parque and Siam Park, Wolfgang Kiessling, and the Vice President, Christoph Kiessling. Attending the ceremony were Vice Counsellor of Tourism of the Canarian Government, Cristóbal de la Rosa, the Counsellor of Tourism of Tenerife’s Island Council, Alberto Bernabé, and the mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga.
This is the third year that Siam Park has received the Travellers’ Choice Award, and Christoph Kiessling said that they were extremely grateful, and that the award would “encourage us to continue working with effort and enthusiasm for excellence every day”. Wolfgang Kiessling also expressed his joy having received this distinction, which he said consolidated the park’s leadership. “Although I promised myself not to mention the word ‘pride’, the truth is that I feel very proud. This recognition is part of everyone and we are moving toward a truly strong and prestigious company thanks to the island of Tenerife”, he said.
Cristóbal de la Rosa stressed the importance of winning this recognition for the third time in a row. He also highlighted the huge impact Siam Park has for tourism in Tenerife and the Canary Islands overall. Alberto Bernabé stressed that the enjoyment Siam Park gives its visitors is a major reason why tourists come back and others are curious to come to Tenerife. Adeje mayor Fraga congratulated the entire team of Siam Park and highlighted the huge effort and involvement of the Kiessling family in the community, by generating jobs in Adeje and its surrounding areas.
