Spain Food Nation – a Government campaign to strengthen the country’s agri-food image

The Spanish Government has launched a Spain Food Nation campaign. It involves the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food and the Department of Industry, Trade and Tourism, which now have a multi-million Euro collaborative programme to promote Spanish food and strengthen the image of Spain’s agri-food sector internationally.

The main website is HERE but we can all do our bit to promote this country’s excellent and delicious foods and wines. I have a shellfish allergy so can’t enjoy paella but I love Spanish cheeses, jamón Iberico, the whole range of potaje and cocido (soups and stews) …  and the mojo, and the garlic!! And it goes without saying that the wines are stupendous. Please do feel free to add your own favourites below, or just take part in promoting Spanish agriculture and foods as much as you can while the campaign is going on.

  1. Janet, several restaurants we go to will do a vegetable or chicken paella, even for one. My husband loves that as he wont eat shellfish. Easy to do at home too.
As English Swallows, we log on to your site every day, thank you.
