Spanish Paediatric and Canarian Vaccine Nurses Associations urge parents to protect children with measles vaccination

The Spanish Paediatric Association, along with the Canarian Association of Vaccinology Nurses, has urged parents to ensure their children are vaccinated against measles. The call comes as rates shoot up in several parts of the world, including in Spain but especially the USA, as anti-vac groups attack scientists and doctors with misinformation and intimidation campaigns, particularly in social media and especially Facebook (see THIS article from yesterday’s Guardian which is sobering reading).

The Spanish Paediatric Association has a dedicated website HERE and there’s a page on the vaccination calendar HERE: I’ve also reproduced the calendar itself below. I’ve shut off comments to this post because I am not going to be subjected once again to any threats or abuse on a vaccination post, but please understand that measles is a killer and the science is clear and indisputable. The Canarian Vaccine Nurses Association says that groups most at risk are children under a year old and healthcare workers (and teachers) in continuous contact with those who could be or are infected.
