Tenerife man among 56 arrested throughout Spain for extreme child pornography

National Police have confirmed that a Tenerife man is among 56 people arrested throughout Spain for extreme child pornography. In a press conference this morning, police say that the operation into the image-sharing peer-to-peer internet ring has been underway since early 2015, and that most of those arrested are men between 40 and 60 years of age. The images they shared involve children who are said to be very young.

Police say that their investigation has involved 150 police officers, some 40 house searches, and not far off 1,000 computer, disc and video searches, and is one of the most important operations against the distribution of paedophile material to be carried out recently, both in terms of the numbers under arrest, and the quantity of pornographic material seized.
