Three arrested for theft of copper cabling from Adeje Golf Urbanization and El Puertito

Three men have been arrested for the theft of copper lighting cable worth €14,000 from the Adeje Golf urbanization. The men, aged 32, 34, and 51, are residents of the area, and are also accused of forced entry to gain access to the cabling. The same trio is also accused of the theft of further cabling from El Puertito valued at €12,000. The arrest was triggered when an Adeje patrol saw smoke which, it turned out, was coming from the burning off of the plastic covering of the cable, which was intended for public lighting. Investigations are continuing into the sales carried out by the three in various Tenerife scrapyards.  C24H
