Three Britons arrested in Playa Paraiso for attack on Guardia Civil after domestic argument

Three Portuguese people with British nationality who were on holiday in Playa Paraiso were arrested around 7.30am yesterday morning after they attacked a couple of Guardia Civil officers who were investigating a report of a violent domestic argument. The detainees are a couple of 23 and 26, and the woman’s 30-year-old sister, all of whom are said to have been fighting while under the influence of alcohol and drugs to celebrate the man’s birthday.

Police had originally received an anonymous call from a woman concerned that a serious domestic violence crime was being committed. It seems that the arguing threesome’s anger, which had already resulted in broken furniture and doors, was turned onto the police when they were interrupted. All three are now being processed by the Arona courts.  LO
