Original post 21 May: Two men are in serious condition in hospital tonight after being shot earlier today. The two, aged 39 and 28, had gone to buy a car in the Arico area, for which they were carrying an agreed amount of €30,000 with them. On meeting the vendor, another two “sellers” appeared, and the buyers were taken to a piece of open ground where they were shot and robbed of their money.

The victims managed to get themselves to the CEPSA garage in Porís de Abona, where help was summoned, and they were transferred to hospital in serious condition. The Guardia Civil is investigating, and appears to have the identity of at least one of the attackers. PV
