Emergency services say that two men have been rescued from the water after their boat capsized three miles out to sea off the Guía de Isora coast. The two had been in the water since early morning, and were rescued this lunchtime by the crew of an excursion catamaran. Guía de Isora Ayuntamiento has named the pair as Eladio Saavedra and Ángel Miranda from Playa San Juan and Santiago del Teide respectively, and says they were fishing for dogfish when their boat overturned. Apart from suffering exhaustion and slight hypothermia they are said to be in good health, and in hospital for observation. A search and rescue helicopter localized their stricken vessel and the coastguard took charge of bringing it back to land.
